We’ve all experienced the situation: the Leclerc Drive basket is ready, we’ve spotted a promo code somewhere, and at the moment of validation, it’s impossible to find where to enter it. Worse, the code doesn’t work, with no clear explanation. Even before typing a string of characters into a field, there is a distinction to understand: what is called a “promo code” on Leclerc Drive encompasses several mechanisms that do not apply in the same way.
Immediate discount, deferred E.Leclerc Ticket, or loyalty voucher: what your offer really hides
The most frequent confusion on Leclerc Drive is believing that every promotion requires a code to be entered. In reality, three types of benefits coexist, each with its own process.
The classic promo code is a string of characters entered in a dedicated field at the time of payment. It provides a discount applied directly to the total basket. It can be found on deal websites, in newsletters, or during special promotions.
Loyalty discount vouchers, on the other hand, are linked to the E.Leclerc Card. They are not entered in a text field: they are activated from the Mon E.Leclerc app or from your online account, in the Benefits section. Once activated, they trigger automatically when the relevant product is in the basket.
The E.Leclerc Tickets constitute a third mechanism, often misunderstood. An E.Leclerc Ticket is not an immediate discount but a deferred credit, usable on a future purchase. You buy an eligible product, and the amount of the Ticket is credited to the card for future use, sometimes as soon as the next day. The actual value of the savings therefore depends on the conditions of use displayed by the store.
When looking to add a promo code on Leclerc Drive, the first step is to identify which of these three formats you have. A loyalty voucher that you try to enter in the promo code field will yield nothing.

Check that your Drive participates in the operation before validating
It’s often forgotten, but not all Leclerc promotions are national. An offer spotted in a flyer or on an aggregation site may only apply to certain participating stores or Drives. This is particularly true for operations related to E.Leclerc Tickets on specific ranges (frozen foods, hygiene products, partner brands).
Specifically, before counting on a discount, we check two things:
- Does the offer’s description explicitly mention the Drive linked to your account, or does it specify “participating stores” without a list? In the latter case, the offer may not apply to your pickup point.
- Does the relevant product appear with the promotion visible in your Drive basket? If the displayed price does not reflect the expected discount once the item is added, it means the Drive or the product is not eligible.
- Do the validity dates correspond to your pickup slot? An E.Leclerc Ticket linked to a weekly operation may expire before the chosen pickup date.
This verification takes a few seconds and avoids disappointment at the summary stage. Eligibility is confirmed directly in the basket or on the product page of the Drive site.
Entering a promo code on Leclerc Drive: the field and its pitfalls
For promo codes in the strict sense (not loyalty vouchers or Tickets), the process is simple in theory. Once the basket is assembled, you proceed to the validation step. The “Add a promo code” field appears on the summary page, usually below the list of items or near the total.
You paste the code, validate, and the discount appears. Except when it doesn’t work.
Why a Leclerc Drive promo code is rejected
Several reasons consistently arise:
- The code has expired. Drive promo codes have short validity periods, sometimes just a few days. A code found on a forum that is several months old is very unlikely to work.
- A minimum purchase amount is required. Some codes only activate above a certain order threshold. If the basket is just below, no discount applies.
- The code is linked to a first purchase or a referral. These codes are personal and only work once, on an account that has never placed an order.
- The code applies to the E.Leclerc site (marketplace) and not to Drive. The two platforms are distinct. A code valid on the general online store does not work on the Drive interface, and vice versa.
When a code is rejected, the error message displayed by the Drive is often vague. You don’t always know if it’s a validity issue, scope, or amount. The only reliable method: check each condition on the original source of the code.

Leclerc Drive loyalty vouchers: activation from the app or online account
The vouchers linked to the E.Leclerc Card represent the majority of discounts available daily on Drive. Their operation differs from the classic promo code.
From the Mon E.Leclerc app, you access the Benefits section, then the section for vouchers to activate. Each voucher corresponds to a product or category. You swipe the voucher to activate it, and it automatically links to the loyalty card. During the Drive order, the discount applies without manual entry if the product is in the basket.
From a computer, the same operation is done through the Mon E.Leclerc online account: Benefits section, activation of available vouchers for the selected preferred store. One point of caution: you must have defined your preferred store before seeing the vouchers linked to it. Without this step, the list of offers may appear empty.
Activated vouchers but discount absent from the Drive basket
If an activated voucher does not reflect in the basket, it’s often because the added product is not exactly the relevant reference (different format, variant of the range). Loyalty vouchers target specific references, not product families.
The combination of a manually entered promo code and activated loyalty vouchers may vary depending on the operations. No universal rule guarantees their compatibility: it depends on the specific conditions of each offer and the relevant Drive.
